Diamond Head Hike

Jake and I hiked Diamond Head Crater on Saturday. In 1904 the US Army used it as a holding station and defense bunker. It is a short hike but is uphill the whole time with 280 steps to the top! We had a great time and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.

Here we are at the top.

Looking out at the ocean, Waikiki, and Kapiolani Park.

This is on our way down. Jake went down the stairs first. You could barely see him if I didn't zoom the camera out all the way. There are about 100 here and this is less than half.

Ete Bowl 2009

Since the beginning of the semester Jake has been coaching the girls at the law school for their big game against the alumni girls. Every Friday Jake would coach them with a handful of other coaches. About a week before the big game, Jake was nominated as "Queen" of the Ete. Meaning he, along with ten other "princesses" had the honor of dressing up and performing a halftime show. To say the least, he was thrilled. :)

Their halftime show was based off the movie Dirty Dancing and this was the Grand Finale.

After halftime Jake resumed his position as coach. He is standing friend Kaena (left) and Mike (right). After the game, Jake officially was asked to be the head coach next year! That is one of the biggest honors at this school.
